The Great American Clean-Up

Clean Up, Clean Up, Everybody Do your Share   It’s 2018, and hardly anything is being done about the piles and piles of trash plaguing our country. We have all seen the potential outcome of doing nothing.Yet just like a New Year’s resolution it gets put on the backburner time and time again. Americans have taken a reactive approach to this issue rather than being proactive. Have you ever made plans to clean your house, only to be constantly distracted by your TV, fridge, honestly anything to excuse you from the task at hand. Well let’s just multiply that by 300 million over the last 25-50 years.   I’m sure you’ve seen specials on the issue; Leonardo Dicaprio even...

Jake and Joe

Meet Jake! The tiny celebrity.   Hi, I'm Jake. It's a good thing I'm handsome and friendly, because I seem to be getting a little bit famous! It all started when the Karlson & McKenzie Show on Boston's Classic Rock 100.7 WZLX decided they wanted to help Operation Delta Dog by sponsoring a veteran-dog team. Here's a shot of Joe and me in the WZLX studio with those other celebrities, Pete McKenzie, Kevin Karlson,...

Now I know why I ended up in that shelter – I was waiting for Bryan! Here's a picture of me with Bryan.

Jason and Dove

Doves represent peace, and that's just what I plan to bring to my veteran! His name is Jason, and he served with the U.S. Army Military Police in a faraway place called Iraq. After that, I'd say he deserves a little peace, don't you think? I'm proud to be working with Jason as we learn all we have to learn to turn me into a service dog.   I didn't always have such a excellent life, though. A while back I was actually stuck in a shelter, trapped inside a cage and just hoping someone would come along and give me a home. I was so happy and relieved when my angels arrived in the nick of time: They were volunteers from a...
